The partners of ReSt@rts- “Reinforcing Med Microfinance Network System for Start-sup” cross-border cooperation project, will be meeting in Sfax on Wednesday 14th December 2022. With the presence of project staff and Microfinance stakeholders from 6 countries, they will have the opportunity to benefit from networking with other Microfinance Institutions in the Mediterranean area, and to be updated regarding Policy – Microfinance industry study developed in the regional and national context.
The overall aim is to establish the Microfinance Providers’ Association, a cross-border Cooperation Committee of microfinance institutions in the Mediterranean, signing the relevant Statute of the Association in an official ceremony.
At the same time, the ReSt@rts MarketPlace Platform will be presented during this event. This platform will provide a digital space for both microfinance providers and young entrepreneurs. The platform will connect them and provide them access to P2P consultancy services. Moreover, it acts as a free tool for providing crowdfunding, an alternative funding mechanism enabling entrepreneurs to fundraise capital from the crowd-people.
The event is hosted by the Sfax Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sfax, Tunisia. It will gather microfinance stakeholders from different institutions from Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Palestine and Tunisia. The event will be held in a hybrid format; physical as well as online.
